如何用种族排他性或《东方学》的理论来分析媒体所描述的种族?建议去看看Orentalism这本书的简介,应该就有些眉目了.东方学作为有着一个有着特别意义的概念是和一个人的名字联系在一起的,这个名字就是爱德华•萨义德（Edward Said 1935—）.他出生于耶路撒冷,巴勒斯坦人.早年即随父母移居黎巴嫩,后在欧洲诸国迁徙不定.他曾经在美国求学,1964年获得哈佛大学博士学位,后到哥伦比亚大学英文系任教.代表作有《东方学》、《世界、文本、批评》、《文化与帝国主义》等.萨义德之所以重要是因为,他打破了西方自由主义学术传统所建构起来的一个神话,这个神话所叙述的是：西方对西方以外的文化的研究,既保持了应有的客观性,同时也坚守着对纯粹知识的追求.但萨义德恰恰是要说,所有这些的学术实践,或者统称为“东方学”的东西,实际上都跟权力技术的运做有着极为密切的关系,进而他主张所有学者的学术研究都会受到特定的历史、文化以及制度的影响而不能够自主.这些历史、文化以及制度的影响因素,在某种意义上,都跟一个社会的政治和意识形态有着相互制约的关系.如果抛开这一向度的分析,或者说抛开观念、文化和历史的权力支配的分析,所有的分析都是不完全的,甚至有可能是虚构的.

大致意思应该是：种族对立以及东方化（与西化相对哦）的理论是如何应用的，在分析种族媒介表征时 可翻译为：种族媒介表征视域下种族对立以及东方化理论的应用研究 相关专业术语，你自己再推敲。
用何种理论-民族/群体抑或东方主义作为民族分析的代表媒体
