On April 15, 2013, CSR Racing was made available for Android phones and tablets. It requires Android Gingerbread and later. On October 5, 2013, CSR Racing received a new follow-up called
for iOS. CSR Classics made its way to Android devices in mid 2014 .
CSR Racing's single-player component is split into five tiers, with each tier introducing progressively faster opposition and vehicles. To move on to a new tier, the player must race and beat the crew boss for the level. After beating the boss of each level, the player will be challenged to a high stakes rematch. If the player wins the race, they are awarded the boss' however, if the player loses, they must give back the gold won from the previous boss race. Unlike a traditional , CSR Racing does not feature steering, braking or acceleration controls. Instead, the game focuses on timing gear changes and use of the nitrous upgrade by tapping the screen, in a similar fashion to a . Races take place across either a quarter- or half-mile distance, depending on the event in which the player has chosen to compete. These events range from repeatable Regulation Races, which are split into three different difficulties (Rookie, Amateur, Pro), to direct confrontations against rival crew members. After a player has beaten a rival crew member, a race cannot be replayed. The game features several other race modes such as "Daily Battle," where the player drives a random car for a single race, and "Restriction Races," where cars must meet certain specified criteria.
Regulation races give the player money immediately. They are divided into Rookie, Amateur and Pro. The Amateur and Pro Regulation Races in tier 1 are unlocked by beating first two crew members in Fangz, Luther and Alie$ha. In other tiers, they are available by default. Their amount starts from $500+ . Their amount can be enhanced by decals, perfect shifts, perfect starts, good shifts and higher tiers.
Ladder races the player's car against progressively tougher opponents for gradually more money. There are 24 Ladder races in each tier. The last three races are considered quarter final, semi-final, and final. These award more money than regular ladder races. Theoretically, a player who wins the finals can beat the crew leader.
Daily Battles are races with a loaned car that can be done s players win increasing amounts of money if they win every day.
Restriction races imposes a condition to the car for the races. They are available tier 2 onwards but tier 1 restriction races can be unlocked when a player has beaten the tier 5.

In World Tour (T6) a new type of restriction were unlocked which involved all chalenges for a certain car required for the crew but involved an extra car which is not from the crew but the manufactrer was of the same country or region. Veloci Crew had the Alfa Romeo 4C, Armada Crew had the Mercedes - Benz C63 AMG and Spitfire Crew had the Jaguar F-Type.
Challenge races are unlocked when a player wins tier 4, and blocked when they pass tier 5. These are some difficult and rare races but with large cash prizes. They tend to appear randomly. It is not available for Android.
Car specific races put a single car into the race and are available tier 3 and up. They can be unlocked for all tiers when a player beats tier 5.
Manufacturer races only allow cars from a single manufacturer. They are available only in tier 4.
Crew battles consists of a race against one of the 4 crew racers. By beating them one by one, a player gains access to the crew leader. After beating the crew leader three times, one moves up to the next tier.
Winning races earns the player cash, which can be spent upgrading various parts of their cars, decals that earn cash bonuses per race, or buying a new vehicle from the 'Car Dealer'. There is also a second currency called Gold that the player can use to purchase special cars, decals, skip delivery times for new upgrades, and instantly 'refuel' their cars. Gold is obtained by leveling up, winning cards or season's price in the
mode, or as an .

1) T1-T5 Bosses can be raced again in 'Payback' along with their crew members, and if you lost the High Stakes race for their respective car the first time, a second High Stakes Challenge will be issued to race for their car once again.
2) When you race T1-T5 Bosses their rating in high stakes challenge is one tier higher than that of their car except for tier 5 , but in World Tour you get Pro cars instead of getting a car of higher tiers
3) In Bosses T1-T5 the rating in high stakes challenge in bracket is the actual rating when you race them and them and that without bracket is the rating which shows in the garage but all tiers do not do so (eg. T4)

On December 13, 2012 CSR Racing features a multiplayer mode in addition to its single-player campaign. In multiplayer, the player spends money to enter a room of 6 opponents. One must try to beat all 6 opponents to get a "win streak." If one win 4,5, or 6 races, one wins 1, 2, or 3 "cards," respectively. These cards may contain fuel to race with, free upgrades, cash, gold, or parts to certain "Pro Cars." One has to collect a specified number of ca higher tiered cars require more cards to be completed. Also one can complete a car with gold coins. In multiplayer, players are ranked by RP, or Respect Points. The game is divided into seasons,which last for 14-30 days,and at the end of each season, prizes are awarded based on where a player's position in the leader board, counted in percentage(e.g.top 12%)
After every season, the top percentage of multiplayers get a unique Pro car and/or Gold as an award.

On September 18, "CSR Racing" had added a new campaign. This is called the "World Tour". There are 5 different crews for the racers to race. These are Italy, UK, Europe, USA and the International. Beat a crew to win a hypercar.
Crew Leader of Team Veloci (Italy) , drives a Blue-Grey Ferrari La Ferrari with max rating T5-720. If you have defeated all four Veloci crew members, you will get a chance to face La Stella. After receiving the LaFerrari, there are new Ferrari Restriction Races that you need to complete:
"Bare Bones Battle". This event is for only those who own a Ferrari LaFerrari. However, only stock cars are allowed to enter this restriction race. You need to remove all upgrades in your car.

World Tour has three new gameplay modes: (You can set the difficulty higher for bigger prizes.)
1. Match Race - races matched to your current car set-up , the difficulty of the race is not decreased with upgrading your car as in regulation races. In Easy, rival's PP is two points lower than yours. In Medium, rival's PP is equal to yours. In Hard, rival's PP is two points higher than yours (unless your performance is maxed, then rival's PP is also maxed and their shifting is upped to a more challenging state.)
2. Test Drive - race in a car from the dealer , in this mode the decal bonus is that of the car from the dealer not the one of your car .
3. Payback - race crew members from T1-T5 and World Tour members who you have raced with before . With increased PP Rating than that of their previous races in the crew battle .

Advise for Tier 1: Select a car that will defeat Papa Biz's Mini Cooper S. You can pick a Mini Cooper S, Dodge Dart RT, Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5 S, or a Mercedes-Benz A 250 Sport. If you want to get his red Mini Cooper S, the target rating of your car should be more than 348.
Tier 2- Yoshiro (Iron Samurai) Drives a Nissan 370Z [Z34] (Easy with the Alfa 4C Audi TT-RS Ford Mustang GT or Jaguar F-TYPE)
Advise for Tier 2: Select a car that will defeat Yoshiro's 370Z. Don't pick Ford Focus RS because the rating of that in full tune is 428. The target of his yellow 370Z should be near 443 but more than 440 is needed.
Tier 3- Alieda (Stallion Riders) Drives a BMW M3 Coupe [E92] (really hard to win high stakes except if your car is fully tuned with everything stage 5 or a Dodge Charger SRT8 with PP more than 528)
Advise for Tier 3: Select a car that will defeat Alieda's M3. You must never pick Ford Mustang Boss 302 because even if you fully tuned that car (max. 541) on a half-mile, you can't win the drag race. You should pick a car that should nail more than 170 mph (274 km/h). No target car rating is needed. Suggested cars like Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca, BMW M3 Coupe, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Chevrolet Corvette C6,Jaguar XFR, Mercedes Benz C63 AMG, Dodge Charger SRT8, or Dodge Challenger SRT8 nails more than 173 mph (278 km/h).
Tier 4- Carlito (War Pigs) Drives a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 [C6] (easy to win if you have a McLaren F1 GTR Alfa Romeo 8C Alfa Romeo T23 Staldade Pagani Zonda S 7.3 or Pagani Huayra fully upgraded)
Advise for Tier 4: Select a car that will defeat Carlito's Corvette. You can pick 6 cars w Dodge Viper SRT-10 GTS (max. 635), Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (max. 636), Bently Continental Supersports (max. 637), Pagani Huayra (max. 643), McLaren F1 GTR (max. 642), Lotus Evora)(max. 633) Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale (max. 644), and Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione (max. 646), Pagani Zonda S (max. 649), or Ferrari F430 (max. 638).
Tier 5- Errol (Silver Skulls) Drives an Audi R8 LMS ultra (If you beat him the 3rd time without incident then you will win, except for Camaro GT3)
Advise for Tier 5: Select a car that will defeat Errol's R8 LMS. Don't pick any car that is slower than 200 mph (322 km/h) or more than 13 seconds. You should only select Audi R8 LMS ultra, Audi R8 LMS ultra CSR, BMW Z4 GT3, McLaren MP4-12C, Pagani Zonda R, Ford GT CSR, Koenigsegg CCX, Koenigsegg Agera R, McLaren 650s, Aston Martin V12 Vantage, Aston Martin One 77, Saleen s5s Raptor, RUF CTR3, Ferrari 458 Speciale, Hennessey Venom GT, McLaren MP4-12C GT3 SE, RUF RT 12R, and McLaren F1 CSR. Those are the fastest cars and each will nail at least 220 mph (354 km/h).
Tips for using fast cars (Tier 5): If you select Ford Mustang 5.4L Super Cobra Jet, and you tune in maximum of 704, you need a mechanic for you to tune your car's performance but that car's top speed is 217 mph (349 km/h) in half mile record. If you have a Ferrari F12berlinetta (max. 705), and you tune in full upgrade, you can easily nail Errol's R8 LMS without the mechanical tuning, but you need to be awake in shift timing, because the top speed of the Ferrari F12berlinetta in the half-mile, is 268 mph (431 km/h).

Cheating in CSR Racing is taken very seriously. Cheats are often banned in CSR Racing. Unlimited money, unlimited gold(currency cheating), unlimited free upgrades, extra car ratings(e.g. 780pp), extra RP Boost (the normal RP boost in multiplayer is 50%-70%, double RP weekend is 110%-170%, the extra RP boost may reach to 500% or even 1000%),etc. which gives an unfair advantage to that player, and it is treated as hacking. If any profile is suspected of hacking, they will be investigated.
Action will be taken, which includes temporary or permanent bans, against any players found hacking the game in any way that gives an unfair advantage not available to legitimate players.
