Our global headquarters are based in Cheltenham, UK.OverviewThis role is to project manage the fit out of a portfolio of new Superdry franchise stores, relocations and refits, covering globally. It will involve working closely with the design team within the Store Development department, and our franchise partners globally, to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the high quality of finish expected.Key ResponsibilitiesThe key accountabilities of the role will be:- Manage and facilitate projects as assigned in line with the global franchise store opening programme.- Survey potential new sites and report suitability, risks and recommendations, advising on dilapidation and repair issues and likely costs.- To provide advice on all aspects of fit out, repair and maintenance for the proposed and existing store portfolio.- Liaise with landlords and developers to agree requirements and negotiate shell specifications, maximising benefit to SuperGroup.- Agree realistic programmes of work with franchisees and ensure that target opening dates are met, while updating the business with timely communications.- Work with the Design, Retail and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure all requirements are communicated and met.- Steer design process to ensure the design package is produced in a timely manner and in accordance with landlord, planning and statutory requirements in local territory.- Oversee the ordering of all necessary materials and fixtures, ensuring that payments are made in a timely manner.- Manage relations between franchisees, contractors, suppliers and consultants, ensuring they are aware of their areas of responsibilities.- Communicate the design philosophy to contractors (who are non-fluent in English in many cases) and franchise partners to ensure that each store has the impact and depth required by the design team.- Provide technical support during the entire construction process by means of site visits and weekly desktop reports, provide solutions to site specific problems and ensure that the stores are constructed strictly in accordance with the design and the standard details. Ensure all contractors meet SuperGroup’s standards in their quality of work, service and Health and Safety.What we're looking forTo be considered, you must have/be:- Proven track record in retail store design and fit-out project management, preferably with a quality brand retailer with an ambitious store roll out programme. Fashion retail sector experience is desirable but not essential.- We will also consider candidates working in a similar role for a specialist for a commercial contractor specifically servicing the retail store construction market.- Any experience of working with franchise partners on store openings will be advantageous, though is not essential.- Excellent verbal and written English skills, with any other languages a distinct advantage.- Strong communication skills, able to deal with demanding franchise partners and able to deal with the nuances and complexities of differing international business cultures.- A relevant degree and/or technical qualification would be an advantage.- Proven ability to manage a skilled multi-disciplinary project team.- Able to communicate effectively at all levels.- Influencing & negotiation skills, able to deal robustly with suppliers, partners and regulatory bodies.- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.- Demonstrate integrity, reliability and be trustworthy.- Strategic thinker with the added ability to follow clear processes.- Ability to work under pressure, independently and/or as part of a team.- Highly organised with the ability to handle multiple projects- Finally, candidates MUST be able to travel extensively – the majority of the role will be based away from home including periods of several weeks away at a time. As this is a global role, projects may be based anywhere in the world and significant travel will be expected. As such, candidates should consider carefully before applying if such a role fits with their own personal lifestyle and domestic situation.- Candidates can be based in the UK, in which case they should be within reasonable commuting distance of Cheltenham. Alternatively candidates can be based in Hong Kong, in Beijing/Shanghai in China, or surrounding countries. PackageTo secure the calibre of candidate we are seeking, we are offering a package commensurate with the role, to include:- £45,000 - £55,000 basic salary (or equivalent if candidate based in Hong Kong)- Pension contributions- BUPA- Life assurance- 50% staff discount- 25 days holidays plus bank holidays
