在比赛场馆，运动员常去的地方有比赛场地（playing courts）、热身场地（warm-up courts）、检录处（assembly area）、运动员休息室（players’ lounge）、 会议室（meeting room）和新闻中心（news center）以及自动售货机（ATM）。
要找到这些地方，除了学会看路标，还可以向别人打听，比如说：
Excuse me, could you tell me the way to the news center? (请问到新闻中心怎么走？)
Can you help me? (能帮帮我吗？)
Excuse me, do you know where I can find a doctor? (请问，你知道医生在哪里吗？)
如果对方知道，通常会这样回答：
Oh，just go ahead and turn right, you will find the news center is on your right.. (往前走，转右你就看见新闻中心了。)
My pleasure，what can I do for you? ( 荣幸之至，我能为你做些什么？)
当然，如果对方不知道，他会这样回答：
I am so sorry, I don’t know, either.(非常抱歉，我也不知道。)
遇到这种情况时，你只需很理解地说：
That’s OK, I will ask someone else. (没关系，我问别人好了。)
然后还是很礼貌地表达对此人的谢意：
Thank you just the same.
