With a profession covering almost 80 years, Hope appeared in over 70 movies and shorts, consisting of a series of \"Road\" motion pictures co-starring Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour.
Commemorated for his long profession carrying out United Service Organizations (USO) reveals to captivate active duty American military workers-- he made 57 trips for the USO in between 1941 and 1991-- Hope was proclaimed an honorary veteran of the United States Armed Forces in 1997 by act of the U.S. Congress.
Hope took part in the sports of golf and boxing, and possessed a little stake in his home town baseball group, the Cleveland Indians. He was wed to performer Dolores Hope for 69 years. Hope passed away at age 100 at his house in Toluca Lake, California.
