泰山诸神中，东岳大帝住在南天门，碧霞元君住在碧霞祠，青帝住在青帝宫，玉皇大帝住在玉皇顶，虽然彼此年辈次序有些混乱，但总算是“德不孤，必有邻”。
端午节，看见一位妇女端了一盘粽子加煮鸡蛋送上泰山顶，慰问诸神。管理员说，神前不能随便放粽子。妇女说，我千辛万苦背上山来，怎能不让放？
不知道这妇女带来的供品中有没有给泰山老奶奶的。
老奶奶的神像在东岳殿的角落里，与“石敢当”之属同列，看上去应当是民间祭祀的小神；然而也有说老奶奶就是碧霞元君的，那么她又该是一位大神。
不管是什么神，无非土石木偶，可老奶奶不一样，除了东岳殿里的木偶，还有一尊活的。
照片为证，半山腰里有个石洞，匾题“泰山老奶奶显灵宫”，门口有人招揽生意。向洞中一望，黑黢黢的背景里忽然闪出一团白发，左右晃动，细看，一蓬头老太太也。她似乎从洞中瞄见我们照相，还伸手拢了拢头发。
这位想必就是神仙老奶奶了，抑或是招揽者的亲奶奶？无法考证，只能付之阙如。唯一想说的是，每天上班要爬这么高，老奶奶真辛苦。
