The Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint Products is a Web download that integrates Reporting Services report server with a deployment of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 products to experience the benefits of using the collaborative environment provided by SharePoint. Once you install the Reporting Services Add-in and configure your servers for integration, you can publish Reporting Services content to a SharePoint library and then view and manage those documents directly from a SharePoint site. The Reporting Services Add-in provides the following functionality:
Power View, a feature of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services Add-in for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise Edition, is an interactive data exploration, visualization, and presentation experience. It provides drag-and-drop ad hoc reporting for business users such as data analysts, business decision makers, and information workers. Power View reports are in a new file format, RDLX.
Open reports in Report Builder from a SharePoint library, and save reports to SharePoint libraries.
A Report Viewer Web Part, which provides report-viewing capability, export to multiple rendering formats, page navigation, search, print, and zoom.
SharePoint web pages so that you can create subscriptions and schedules, and manage reports and data sources.
Support for standard SharePoint Foundation 2010 and SharePoint Server 2010 features including document management, collaboration, security, and deployment with report server content types.
The ability to add the Reporting Services Report Viewer Web Part to any page or dashboard on a SharePoint site and customize its appearance.
The ability to use SharePoint permission levels and roles to control access to report server content. You can also use SharePoint forms authentication to support access over Internet connections.

Supported Operating System

Review the Windows SharePoint Foundation or SharePoint Services 2010 documentation for relevant system requirements.
The computer must meet the following software requirements:
Microsoft SharePoint 2010 or SharePoint Foundation 2010 with .NET Programmability Support.
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services in SharePoint mode is required if you want to use connected mode Reporting Services features
The Web sites cannot be enabled for Anonymous access.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 with the latest service packs.
You can install and configure the servers in any order, but integrated operations will not be available until the configuration steps are complete for both servers. For detailed information on the installation steps, see the Readme for the existing Reporting Services Add-in.
Step 1: Install a SharePoint 2010 technology instance.
Step 2: Download the Reporting Services Add-in by clicking the rsSharePoint.msi link later on this page. To start the installation immediately, click Run. To install at a later time, click Save.
Step 3: Install the Reporting Services Add-in on web front-end servers to allow local mode Reporting Services functionality. For connected mode Reporting Services functionality, complete the remaining steps.
Step 4: Install SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services on a SharePoint application server. In the SQL Server 2012 installation wizard, choose ‘Reporting Services – SharePoint’ on the feature selection page. You can also install the Reporting Services add-in from the SQL Server 2012 installation wizard instead of downloading from this page.
Step 5: Configure the Reporting Services SharePoint service and create at least one Reporting Services service application.
Step 6: Set permissions and add Reporting Services content types.
Step 7: Verify the installation.
The Reporting Services add-in should be installed on each SharePoint web server that you want to use for accessing the Reporting Services Local mode features or the connected SharePoint mode features such as Power View and data alerts.

Supported Languages
Application pages that you use on a SharePoint site to view and manage report server items, and errors and warnings that appear on those pages, are available in the supported languages.
Messages that originate from the report server and reports that you design in Report Designer are available only in the languages supported by SQL Server 2012.
Report Builder for SQL Server 2012 supports the same languages as the Reporting Services Add-in. If you want to create a report that contains titles and labels in a language that is not supported by SQL Server 2012 and Report Designer, you can use Report Builder instead. For example, if you are using the Czech language version of a SharePoint product or technology and you want to create a report that uses Czech titles and labels, start Report Builder from a SharePoint site and create your report.
When you download the Reporting Services Add-in, you must choose a language. The Report Viewer Web Part (ReportViewer.dwp) will be available only in the language that you choose. The application pages and messages will be available in all supported languages, regardless of the language you select on the Download page.
