project:task set as an educational exercise which require students to do their own research and present the results.（学校的）科研项目，课题。subject:topic,theme or branch of knowledge studied in a school.说话的主题，文章的主题，学科科目以及对象等等。我赞成zhangxingwang的说法 key project of m project of the science committee in XX

楼上说的有道理，不过英语短语的搭配有时没有道理可讲，所以这个也不是固定的，很多时候可以通用互换。个人感觉规划多用program、plan，基金多用funds、foundation、grant，项目工程多用program、project，课题多用subject，project，budget。"project"多指国家级重大项目，偏向于专项，比如：北京市重大科技专项Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Project，lz说的教育部重点课题可以用subject，也可以用project　；"subject"相对偏向于小一些的课题，不过重大课题有时也可以用，比如：中国科学院九五重大项目Major Subject of The Chinese Academy of Sciences，所以这个也是不一定的。以上只是个人观点，欢迎大家批评指正！顺便提供相关资料：

ACKNOWLEGEMENT
Finally, my thesis paper is fulfilled.
I would like to thank many people for helping me to get this
thesis finished. I owe particular thanks to my advisor, Qu Yi, who
has been very nice and patient to me during the process of writing.
She taught me not only my studies, but also essence of life.
Because of her, I made my school year colorful and meaningful.
Thank God that there is Miss Qu around me to guide me and help me
in my journey of life.
Next I would thank my fellow classmates and friends. I offer my
enduring gratitude for their friendship and kind help. When I feel
gloomy, Justin, Ruby, Jason would
always be there comforting me, arousing my confidence in study.
When I face frustrations, my dear
sisters both in Jilin University and USA told me that they
believe I can pass through. During the 4 years, I received so much
love from them, and learned more. Without their repay-regardless
help, I have no idea how I can achieve this progress.
At last, I would give special thanks to my parents, who have
supported me throughout my years of education, both morally and
financially. They put so much hope on their son that they care far
less about themselves, and all I want is that they can be in good
condition to receive my sincere moral obligation.

&&&&&& 1、感谢任何个人或机构在技术上的帮助，其中包括提供仪器、 设备或相关实验材料，协作实验工作，提供有益的启发、建议、 指导、审阅，承担某性辅助性工作，等等。

&&&&&& 致谢的开始就用&We thank& ,不要使用&We wish to thank& &We would like to thank&或&The authors thank&等，尤其是 &wish&一词最好在致谢中消失。当表达愿望时，&wish&是很好 的词，但是如果说& I wish to thank John Jones,&则是在浪费 单词，并且也可能蕴涵&I wish that I could thank John Jones for his help but it was not all that great.&(我希望感谢John Jones 的帮助，但这种帮助并不那么大)，实际上用&I thank John Jones &显得更为简明和真诚。
&&&&&& 2、致谢的形式要参阅期刊的投稿指南的作者需知，尤其是 对于感谢有关基金资助的信息，有些期刊要求将其放到&致谢& 中，有些则要求将其放到论文的首页的脚注。
