这是一首具有浓厚的拉丁美洲乡间音乐的歌曲(原名：El Condor Pasa)，在六十年代非常出名。歌中先用了三对物体作比较：麻雀与蜗牛、铁锤与铁钉、森林与街道，作者选择了每一对的前者。相比之下，它们享有更大的自由。歌中还有另一对比较物，即天鹅与人。天鹅高飞于空，自由自在；而人被束缚在土地上，唱出最悲哀的歌声。但最后一段很有现实感，作者希望能脚踏实地，所以，作者希望获得的是实实在在、不脱离实际的自由。这样，理想与现实既可达到完美的统一。

《辛德勒名单》电影配乐中，忧思、伤痛的小调主题在多段配乐中交融闪现，创造了凝重、凄凉的听觉氛围。约翰·威廉姆斯采用了与以往不同的创作手法，不再以景，而是以情入乐，采取浪漫乐派的传统写法，用柔和简练的旋律将影片所要表达的一个民族复杂而沉重的内心世界表现的淋漓尽致。在加上画面、情节的配合，套句俗话说——很煽情。

Yanni 雅尼
新世纪音乐（new age）其实可以很简单地划分为雅尼之前和雅尼之后。
在雅尼之前，新世纪音乐只是在人们的意识之外作为一种带异国情调的音乐领域而存在着在这一领域中，新声学主义音乐家，后改良主义摇滚歌手，空间电子乐玩家和新古典主义音乐家们制作出一种带有医疗效果的冥思音乐而这一音乐常充满着神秘的寓意。
之后我们有了雅尼，于是几乎是一夜之间，这一小型音乐流派风行全球。他结合了电子音乐、改良主义音乐、新古典主义的元素到新世纪音乐中，还加入了之前新世纪音乐中缺少的戏剧性和感召力。
感召力在雅尼的音乐中非常显而易见。雅尼.克莱索玛利斯出生在希腊，他有着忧郁而英俊的地中海面容，微秃的下巴，精神抖擞的胡须，黑色深邃的眼睛，这些足以让女性乐迷在听他的演奏时产生灵魂最深处被探知一般的错觉。然后是他的头发，一头黑色的自然卷曲的长发，可以和爱情小说的封面男模相媲美。他在14岁时就创下了希腊自由泳的国家纪录。这一切配合着他那在希腊国家游泳队锻炼出的好身材简直完美无缺。
不过，相貌只是雅尼吸引乐迷的的外在优势，而最终更深层地征服他的乐迷的还是他的音乐。他的唱片异常畅销，他的演奏会也极为受欢迎，这就是所谓的感召力。而雅尼音乐的戏剧性则表现在，他用音乐描绘异国风光、引人入胜的壮观景色，讲述浪漫的爱情故事。在专辑《幻想之匙》中，雅尼的音乐将帮你展开想象的翅膀，进行一次英雄式的旅行。同时，雅尼还在不断突破自己，在《雅典卫城音乐会》和《赞辞—雅尼在紫禁城》中，他把那写史诗般的画面用华丽的音乐表现了出来。雅尼不仅仅是在单纯地演奏音乐，他还营造出一种影院般的极具戏剧性的效果，而且他还是第一个在北京紫禁城开音乐会的西方音乐家。
雅尼为全球闻名的演奏家、作曲家，两度被格莱美奖提名，其作品在过去十年中一直是奥林匹克运动会广播音乐的最爱。在连续完成了雅典卫城，中国紫禁城，印度泰姬陵音乐会后，在2000年推出了新专辑《If I Could Tell You》，开始了又一次直击心灵的音乐旅程，2006年的《Yanni Live!》更是将新世纪音乐推上了至高的境界。
雅尼，1954年生于希腊卡拉玛塔的一个风景独特的海滨村庄，五岁时就发现了自己的音乐才能。“我非常喜爱音乐并常常弹钢琴，但我拒绝接受正规的钢琴教育。我的父亲明智地鼓励我大胆尝试。当我不想上钢琴课时，他便说，‘好，想什么时候弹就什么时候弹，你想弹什么就弹什么吧’。当时我就是这么做的，现在也是如此。”
最初，雅尼曾立志成为一名临床心理学家，18岁的时候，他被美国明尼苏达州的一所大学接收，移居美国并主修心理学。然而，毕业后雅尼却选择了他钟爱的音乐事业。“我决定用一年的时间去尝试。我参加了一只名为“Chameleon”的摇滚乐队，并在一些夜总会进行演出。整整一年我沉浸于音乐当中，我从没感到过生命是如此令人愉悦。就这样，我找到了值得我用一生去做的事。”
雅尼专心致志于音乐，从中感到无比满足，尽管成功似乎还很遥远。“我取得成功用了很长的时间，尽管很多时候连生计都难于维持，但我并不在乎。创作是一件非常快乐的事。创作的过程是我人生的最大乐事之一。”
与Linda Evans在Oprah Winfrey Show中登场是雅尼一生的巨大转折点。之后雅尼的事业蒸蒸日上。从纽约Radio City Music Hall的演出开始，他的音乐会通过电视先后在65个国家播放，1998年的Tribute在全美巡演总排行中位列第二。但那些不堪回首的日子却教会雅尼许多东西，使他一直受益至今。“回顾过往，我了解到我学到了许多准则，让我可以集中意志以使创作顺利进行。没有人会教给你这些，只有用心体验生活才能获得。”
偶尔，雅尼会在工作室呆上几个星期而写不出任何东西。为何创造力时而像火山喷发般势不可当，时而又坚若磐石？雅尼对此产生了浓厚的兴趣。“当我在创作某些曲子时，我对此有了进一步的了解。我了解到创造和判断是相对立的，当你在创作时判断，你就会不在状态，被创造力拒之门外。也就是说，当你判断时，最佳创作时间已过去了。”雅尼并不相信“创造力障碍”之说。“‘创造力障碍’完全是一种构想出的东西。它并不存在。创作完全是一种心境，当你的确置身其中时，灵感根本不会枯竭。”人们常犯的错误是误以为创造力遥不可及，其实它就来自内心深处。为了和内心深处的创造力接触，雅尼学着去封闭外界。“你必须摆脱外界干扰。关掉电视和收音机，别去接电话，也别管门铃。对我而言，与外界隔离非常有益。过去，我要几个星期的时间才能进入创作状态，而如今，六个小时就足够了。”
