Batte barramundi crushed peas and chips英式炸鱼薯条这里的焗薯条脆得尼保留左新鲜薯仔既。这薯条用新鲜薯仔切条同出边食既薯条完全系两个层次。而炸炉鱼用上了新鲜的尖吻炉肉嫩味美,用上优质海盐令鱼的鲜味更突出,薯仔的原味亦有所提昇。

I always fancy for a hat themed birthday
in a British restaurant. So finally this year I booked the private room of Bread Street Kitchen for my birthday brunch. The simple yet modern mixed with vintage decorated room was just perfect for accommodating 12 of us
2 little kids! Besides choosing our own main course individually, we had orde some appetisers and desserts for sharing. So actually we had tried t of the items on the brunch menu. For the appetiser, Tamarind chicken wings and Seared tuna were my favourite. It was hard to describe the
but I had never had the wings somewhere else with this delicious taste before! For the tuna, it was seared but I could still taste the seafood freshness! Regarding the main course, I had chosen the BSK burger. It was damn yummy! Can't describe how juicy the meat was!! Together with the spicy srircher mayo sauce and the melty cheese, I was so satisfied with my burger!! I also tried a bit of my friend's meal, the 2 typical british dishes -  Shepherd's pie and Fish & chip were pretty yummy too. It was worth to try it! As mentioned, we had 2 little kids. They were well taken care by the friendly staffs and were given a pack of children's menu with a paper chef hat and some crayons. The kids did some drawings on the hat first before putting it on their head. After the main course, the staff came to bring them to the dessert bar and let them to pick the ice cream flavour. Kids love it! And of course we adult loved this arrangement as well as the restaurant provided some fun for the kids before and after the meal for occupying their time!  We had a pretty fun and happy time and I can't wait to go back to try out the dinner menu soon!!

「李咿哇」及「宽王」两位分别趁圣诞节假期出外旅行,於是我们提前来个圣诞饭聚,地点是「李咿哇」提议兼安排订位的「Bread Street」。富有明星风范,在电视屏幕透出摄人魅力的两位大厨师,终於在港开设。早前见过报导蜂拥而去朝拜的人龙,我们当中五人则相较「冷静」,先不挤进热闹的人龙,毕究大师级的不会因人龙不现而有所变化!虽然人龙不再,可是十二月份晚上的订台早满了,我们唯有选择中午的时段。
店的设计较为平实,用餐区座位有酒吧、沙发及普通的餐桌,令室内形成不同的高低层次感!
亲切又年轻的侍应先为我们送来面包。面包的筋性不俗,不过略为乾身,品质未算很出色、但亦不算差!
我要了 Memories of Yore 的鸡尾酒,清酸中带点酒精的刺激,果味与酒精同样不算浓烈。一片绿则来自青瓜汁和青柠。「宽粉王」点的 Love Portion No. 9,味道较为甜美、果香较明显。两款鸡尾酒层给予的印象也只属一般,未够突出。另外,再多要了一支意大利的白酒 — Pinot Gigio, Bastianich Friuly,味道平易近人,较易配搭不同的菜色。
蟹肉苹果沙律带着清爽的口感、味道酸香,不失为开胃前菜;而蟹肉的质感则较为单薄,鲜甜味亦略为逊色!
鲈鱼 Carpaccio 配予牛油果,感觉新颖!整体味道柔和,也许厨师不欲掩盖鱼鲜,西柚、柠檬的酸度,与香草及芥末的味道,要比想像为轻,我认为可以来得更重。
Gordon Ramsay 经常在比赛节目上,以鸡蛋考验参赛者的实力,这次我们在午餐来个 Egg Benedict,全为体验这位名厨的标准。蛋白扎实中带滑溜、流心的蛋黄与稠密的 Hollandaise Sauce 混合,化学作用便出来了。从轻酸中诱出浓郁的蛋香,鸡蛋的魅力尽情被释放,恨不得要将整个鸡蛋吃光。试了一口大师级的水准已让人心领神汇,简单的鸡蛋果然是考验厨艺的最佳材料!
除了 Egg Benedict,论英国菜,岂能不试 Shepherd's Pie。焦香的芝士、软滑的薯蓉、丰厚的 Gravy 酱拌着蔬菜与羊肉,湿度与调味恰好,入口尽是香浓与美味,更带来一股暖洋洋的窝心感,似是香港人跟英国那种浓情化不开的关系,我宁做英国的牧羊人!
这道椰菜花堆砌得很细致,卖相不俗!
椰菜配合松子仁、酸豆和提子乾,虽不是新菜式,但在不同厨师的手里,效果会截然不同!椰菜花的焦香还差一点点,以致香气未能全面发挥,同时也令松子仁、酸豆和提子乾显得过份突出,一下子配菜变成主角,未能相辅相成。
炒杂菌做得不错。杂菌香气四溢、质感爽中带软、味道香浓惹味,我们六人无一不爱它。
英国菜当然少不了炸鱼与薯条的份儿。「Bread Street」的炸鱼选用了 Barramundi ,香港人大多称牠为盲槽。盲槽鱼本身鱼味不强,肉质虽细嫩,不过用於烹调炸鱼,我却嫌其肉质过於松散,口感薄弱。至於酱汁的青豆蓉青豆味道则不够香滑,而蛋黄酱还可以。而粗身的薯条外层轻脆,其粉软的内层则较为突出!
Sunday Roasts 备有牛肉和猪肉两种选择,我们要了猪肉。猪肉呈粉红色泽,肉质细嫩,味道温醇可口,衬上薯菜和 Yorkshire Pudding,感觉不错!
甜品时间,我们走到摆在於近门口的 Crepe Station,看着女厨师替我们制作新鲜的 Crepe。
然後再自行加上心仪的水果、酱汁和配料等,我们漂亮的 Crepe 终完成了。Crepe 的效果不差,唯蛋香和烟韧度只属一般,玩味性质较高!
Chocolate Brownies 和 Mint and Chip Ice Cream 的配搭很不错。首先 Brownies 甜度较轻,加上松软的质感,确是令不太爱朱古力的我也立即接受。加上「Bread Street」自家制作的薄荷碎朱古力雪糕真的很出色,顿觉这道甜品特别称心!
由於薄荷碎朱古力雪糕的美味,令我们对雪糕更是留恋。於是再来一客薄荷碎朱古力雪糕,我则尝试另一口味 — 海盐焦糖。海盐焦糖雪糕质感软滑,焦糖味道也香浓,可是盐味则来得非常淡薄,不够完美!
不爱甜品的人儿,餐後一杯咖啡或 Double Expresso 便是最佳的选择。
我们六人在「Bread Street」渡过了一个愉快的下午,实在有赖善解人意的侍应协助,除了不需要在规时间内归还餐桌,还有不少细节上的安排,均令我们怀着不舍的心情离开! 在我们的人生中,经常会遇上大大小小的帮忙,虽不能比喻那些大大小小的帮忙为一顿盛宴,但却是在最需要的时刻伸出了援手,就如在产生饿意之际出现的白面包。白面包并不矜贵,但在我们的人生旅途中给予能量与支持,有了他,我们的路才走得顺畅,所以我们的生命里不知堆砌了多少白面包!在圣诞与新年的佳节,我们更要感激曾给予我们白面包的人,及帮忙有需要的人!推介菜式: Traditional shepherd's pie with braised lamb,potato puree,brioche garlic combs,Egg Benedict with crispy bacon,Chocolate Brownies,mint and chip ice cream,Mushroom用餐日期:

想试招牌菜,入座後先知今日只提供 Brunch menu。既来之则安之,看过餐牌後,对有些菜式全无头绪,查过字典也不明,就大胆地随心点菜吧,结果吃了一道精彩的「」前菜,及卖相得意又好味的沙律,好有惊喜。
享用前菜的同时,店员接着送上 All day breakfast。双蛋有三种煮法供选择,今次点吃水煮蛋,效果如温泉蛋,好靓,炒杂菰及煎香肠也美味,如可拆开散叫就好了。主菜有牛肉配炸粗薯,卖相一流(至少惹得邻枱食客眼望望),份量很大。牛肉点吃 medium ,略过熟,如点 medium rare 应会较佳。粗薯条炸得外脆内热,最快吃光,可少盐更佳。
接近用餐尾声,要来一杯热及甜品。大热 Eton mess 果然名不虚传,红果酱甜甜酸酸,配合果肉及忌廉同吃,单单为了它,已值得再来开饭。Crepe 亦不容错过,合桃先加糖焗得甜脆,放在内藏香蕉片的热烫薄饼上,再添自家制雪糕球(美女厨师特意送多一球雪糕,超感动!),怎不能令大家争食。美女厨师称士多啤梨雪糕球味道最佳,她的推介很赞,但要留意朱古力雪糕非常香浓,朱迷也叫好。评分: 味道 4
We would definitely go back. You get what you order, well cooked and tasty. We had scallops, endive and blue cheese ice cream salad and crab cocktail as ters. The star was the endive salad, really tasty. The crab cocktail was good but needed a bit more crab. Mains were fish and chips, short rib
and dingly dell pork chop. All very nice. The chips were the best I have seen in HK. Crisp and tasty. Sides were macaroni cheese - good, and green vegetables - a bit over done. There are one or two down aspects. Don't expect any conversation as the music is way too loud. T serve draught beer (Kirin) in tankards whire ice cold. Nice. But.... you cannot see how much beer is in the tankard. My first was at least 50% froth. Luckily they gave me another. Lastly someone has put those automatic air freshener squirt things about the dining room so at periods you gat a squirt of cinnamon flavou freshner into your dinner. 近年人越来越识饮识食, 有时豪花来吃一顿也视作等闲事, 为的只是寻求一份满足, 正所谓辛苦搵来志在食嘛! 而全球饮食业亦看准港人这一点, 造就了一间越洋知名/品牌纷纷登陆来港. 单以今年来说, 最为大众认识的星级名厨JAMIE OLIVER旗下的就於今年夏天进军开设了首家香港分店. 原以为这个巳是今年本港饮食界最令人兴奋的事, 怎知道紧接而来的消息更是令人万分惊喜! 说的当然是另一位宅女更爱的英国名厨Gordon Ramsay居然也要来香港开餐厅!! 一直都超想试试这位在电视机内常常粗口大骂但又令人看得很过瘾的名厨的手势, 二话不说, 马上找来几位同好之仕一起去试试!
如果一向有看关於饮食的电视节目的朋友, 相信对Gordon Ramsay这个名字绝对不会陌生. 这位几乎百分百每集都会粗口骂人的地狱厨神近年可算是瓣瓣店, 除了不断出书出食谱, 亦频频参与及制作厨艺节目, 宅女尤其喜欢他的 [Kitchen Nightmares]及[Hotel Hell], 娱乐性非常高; 而他旗下的十多间餐厅包括MAZE, PETRUS及Restaurant Gordon Ramsay等亦为他带来了十多颗的米芝莲星星. 所以虽然Gordon每次骂人均毫不留情, 但又实在不得不佩服他那个非凡的厨艺及独到的眼光.而这次Gordon带来香港的这家Bread Street Kitchen & Bar, 虽然并非星星级, 但据他本人之说, 决定这家餐厅的原因原来是因为感觉香港巳有不少Fine Dining的餐厅, 反而想吃得随性一点又有质素的就买少见少, 因此才把这家亲民一点的餐厅带给香港人. 不过虽然亲民, Gordon也没有轻视这次的进军计划, 除了长时间去筹备之外, 开幕当天更远道而来香港主持开幕典礼, 诚意可加.
其实餐厅早於九月份巳开始试业, 不过宅女那个月就比较忙, 一直找不到机会前来. 於官网自行订座, 等了约一个多月, 这天终於都来到了! 餐厅位置不算难找, 就在中环兰桂坊沿路上楼梯到兰桂坊酒店的中途就会看到大大个门牌. 我们一行四人选择了周末中午来到, 眼看餐厅地方其实都颇大, 前方惯例的划开一分部份用来做酒吧, 灯光柔和带点气氛; 但再走进去一点的用餐区, 整个环境就明显来得阳光充沛一点, 一边是开放式厨房, 另一边则是一排排橙黄色的梳化再以黑色作点缀, 抢眼得来又够摩登, 而气氛果然亦较为亲民.
坐下来最重要当然是先看看餐厅供应的食物了. 午餐主要仍是以单点为主, 由前菜, 沙律, 主菜, 烧烤类及甜品都有, 每项选择虽然不多, 但眼看款款都几有特色. 价钱方面相比起其他星级餐厅, 又真的十分大众化, 例如主菜一份只是由百多元起, 以挂着Gordon的名字来说, 实在便宜.当然, 如果阁下奢想来这里可以试到Gordon亲手烹调的是绝对不可能, 不过他就派了位跟了他长期合作的门生来主理餐厅, 风格跟味道都有保证.我们四个人四个胃, 就可以多点几款不同的来试试.先上的是餐包.
面包蓝内放了两款不同的面包, 牛油也没太多花巧, 就是最基本的一块薄身牛油. 面包拿上手不算很热, 切片的麦包边位有点硬, 不过幸好中间的面包还是带点烟韧, 但涂了牛油後也不见得好香; 反而垫底的两条迷你法包, 包身带点脆, 吃起来香口一点, 但整体来说只是普通.Tamarind Spiced Chicken wings (HK$128)
其实宅女一向不太赞成在街外吃鸡翼, 皆因这种自家做都能做得好吃的东西, 总觉得在外吃不太划算. 不过这款是友人说很想试试, 上桌一份有五只, 心想百多元也太贵了吧. 不过看看炸过後的鸡翼加上酱汁後显得红彤彤的又的确有点吸引. 咬下去鸡翼带点微脆, 中间的鸡肉仍算嫩滑不乾, 而酱汁内加入了罗望子, 吃起来带点微酸, 辣度不算强劲, 浓得来又不会过腻, 味道平衡得宜, 又的确是有点惊喜的. Flat bread, caramelized onions, taleggio cheese, cured pigs cheek, basil pesto (HK$118)
虽然前菜吃这种无酵饼好似有点饱肚, 不过看到餐牌有供应不知怎的就想试试, 反正四个人只是每人一小片就可以了. 上来的无酵饼份量不算很大, 作为前菜巳很足够. 酵饼上方放了不少甜洋葱, Taleggio软芝士, 少许腌猪面肉跟萝勒作点缀. 入口酵饼边位都几薄脆, 继而甜洋葱的味道较抢, 也尝到了芝士的丰厚, 不过宅女自己觉得有点甜. 这个属可一试, 但番吃机会不高的菜. Chicken Caesar salad (HK$138)
上来份量都够3-4人分的. 底下是满满的加入了鯷鱼的沙律菜, 上方铺满了大大片的巴马臣芝士, 还放上几片薰过的烟肉, 中央更有半只水煮蛋, 看起来食材十分丰富呢~ 沙律菜块块都够爽甜, 喜欢酱汁不会下得过多, 但又片片都能吃到, 十分均匀; 配上鯷鱼吃更增添一份微微的咸香, 不过最抢镜的当然是那几片烟肉了, 吃起来不算很脆, 但几有嚼头, 反而水煮蛋就较为一般, 可能宅女还是较喜欢流心的那种吧.Pork and fennel sausage (HK$178)
一份只有三条不太大的猪肉肠, 看似份量不多, 不过其实这碟都几容易滞的, 实在不能少看. 猪肉肠烤得外皮脆卜卜, 切开来时肠衣十分薄脆, 中间的猪肉居然还流着不少肉汁, 肉质亦够弹牙不会过乾, 水准十分不错. 但这份主菜除了主角猪肉肠之外, 千万不要忘记底下的煮扁豆, 从前以为扁豆多是用来煲汤用, 不过这回大厨用上扁豆加入南瓜来做成配菜, 入口有着南瓜的软棉亦带有扁豆的香甜, 甚有咬口. 整个主菜食味偏浓, 不过吃起来一点也不腻, 算是几道主菜之中我们一致较欣赏的一款.Dingley Dell pork chops 10oz (HK$228)
未点菜前巳听友人说来这里超想试试他们的猪排, 皆因他在英国吃过水准甚为不错. 虽然是有10安士, 不过上来时一碟又不算好多, 一份猪排切开就只有4-5片左右, 就算2-3人都可以轻易KO. 看看猪排边位煎得颇像样, 有着微微烤烘的色泽, 中间的猪肉则呈现着雪白带点粉色, 可惜看起来肉质就是乾了一点, 入口发现所言甚是, 猪排吃起来真的偏乾, 肉汁也没多一滴, 虽然味道本身OK, 但口感强差人意, 肥脂位亦较少, 整个猪排都很乾, 幸好份量不多每人吃完一块就算了也没有浪费. 不过如果这个说是这里的招牌就有点太过份了....Fish & Chips (HK$208)
记得曾在英国只吃过一次炸鱼薯条但味道不太好. 这次既然大厨来自英国, 没有理由不点一份来试试吧. 上来一盘就有4-5块炸鱼条, 旁边放了个小铁桶盛着几条薯条, 还有豆泥跟他他酱伴吃. 其实一份不算好多, 尤其薯条份量都几少, 就算一个人吃掉一整份都完全没问题. 炸鱼外层的炸浆不算厚身, 咬下去仍是带脆, 中间的鱼肉肉质几嫩滑, 而且整份炸鱼油份不算很多, 整体来说惊喜度不大, 但也是合格货色. 而薯条反而炸得香脆, 喜爱粗大厚身甚有咬口, 宅女个人口味更喜欢把薯条沾点他他酱, 吃起来更滋味.Seasonal selction of British cheeses (HK$148)
吃完主菜就当然是时间选甜品, 不过友人说很想试试这里的芝士, 在座几位正好也是爱芝士之仕就没人反对了. 上来以一大块大板盛着四种不同的芝士, 每款份量都比想像中大, 而旁边更有不少配料包括合桃, 提子, 多士等等, 不过最吸引人的还是那一小碗盛着几片无花果的沙律, 伴了点火箭菜跟陈醋汁, 整份芝士并盘非常丰富, 以百多元的价格的确非常实惠呢~宅女自己虽然爱吃芝士不过就没太讲究, 而且开始有点饱, 所以只选了蓝芝士来试. 入口味道都几浓, 但那份甘香醇度不算十分理想. 最欣赏的当然是那碗无花果了, 吃起来清爽甜美, 跟火箭菜味道也很配, 真的很想自己一人独享一整碗呢! Banana Sticky toffee pudding (HK$88)
朋友说曾在英国吃过超好吃, 所以甜品这款是必点. 上来看看模样巳知必定是重口味, 非常甜的样子. 平平实实一件英式香蕉拖肥布丁, 再淋上焦糖浆, 上方还有一匙份量的凝脂奶油. 入口布丁带着微微的香蕉味, 不过还是焦糖浆比较抢镜, 吃起来带点咬口. 配上一小口的奶油, 整个布丁味道马上丰厚起来. 身边友人猛说这个不够甜, 其实宅女自己觉得这个甜度都很够, 较易受大众接受. 不过如果说是重口味, 个人觉得布丁可以做得带软棉一点, 焦糖浆再杰一点, 就必定吃得更过瘾, 反正甜嘛就甜到底.Chocolate tart (HK$98)
最後还是来一个最正常的朱古力挞. 一件份量不算小, 薄薄的挞皮上就全是厚厚的朱古力, 入口朱味非常香浓而且质地十分软滑, 配着一球冰冻的雪糕吃这个实在没有不好吃的理由. 整体虽然是大路款式但绝对是个稳打稳紮的甜点.埋单每人都要HK$400左右, 午餐来说听起来不便宜, 但挂着Gordon之名这个价格巳算非常合理.整体来说食物水准稍有高低, 例如好的有那个鸡翼跟猪肉肠, 无论味道及食材配搭均令人眼前一亮, 印象深刻, 非常不错. 但其他的菜色有些就仍有瑕疵或不太理想, 有着改善的空间.不过如果要有对比的话, 宅女自己觉得Gordon这家的水准比Jamie的好得多, 想番吃的机会也较高.

FINALLY after several attempts to get a table at this uber hyped-up restaurant in Lan Kwai Fong, I was able to score one last week through no s effort. We three were so lucky to have gotten a reservation and so close to Christmas, when everyone is having holiday lunnd dinner parties 24/7. Especially so at the recently-opened Bread Street Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong.
Atphere & ServiceIt was busy, busy, busy when we ente at the beginning of lunch hour. The whole place was decked in Christmas decor, complete with Christmas tree and everything. Huge windows loo over LKF, great natural lighting. Vintage, warehouse/diner style interiors.Servers were all either western or very westernized – nice, friendly, chatty. We loved our British-HK server that day, a chirpy young HK-raised lady. Unlike in other restaurants where whenever I ask the question “what do you recommend?” all I get is a nervous laugh and a blank stare – or worse, “everything is good” – she actually had an opinion. She said she hadn’t tried everything on the menu as it changes, but she loved the Eton Mess (dessert) which we didn’t get to try since we were too stuffed to eat anything else by the end of the meal. But we'll be back.BackgroundNot sure if this place really needs a backgrounder since everyone’s talking about it. A couple of important points should suffice:- BSK is the HK branch of BSK London, opened in 2011 to huge success- BSK is a collaboration with Dining Concepts, the group behind Bombay Dreams, The Bellbrook, Al Molo, etc.- And I don’t think I need to introduce the famous Gordon Ramsay of Kitchen Nightmares, The F Word, Masterchef, etc., do I?The foodAt last, the part we’ve all been waiting for. Was it good?! Was it bad?! Honestly, I thought it was standard British fare albeit of better quality. At the end of the day, there’s nothing inspiring about fish and chips, burgers and fries, or shepherd’s pie.Word of warning: the food is extremely calorific! Get ready to get fat!!! The complimentary breads were soo so good with the salted butter but eating them was a mistake since it didn't leave me room for dessert.We began with relatively healthy starters:Salad of Couscous, sweet corn, cranberries, radish, spring onions, mint (HK$128)

The flavour was excellent, and the wings had more meat on them than what you can usually find in HK. A great substitute for Buffalo wings, which I used to have all the time back home but never in HK because wings here are horrible and flat most of the time.Seabass carpaccio, avocado, horseradish (HK$138)
Healthy eaters and dieters, rejoice! There’s something here for you! The sea bass carpaccio was like an herbed thin-sliced sashimi with light dabs of guacamole to add an interesting flavour. It just slid down my throat Battered Barramundi, crushed peas and chips (HK$208)
Bread Street Kitchen short rib burger, Monterey jack cheese, spicy sriracha mayo (HK$188)
A burger done right! Beef was perfectly cooked (not overdone, not pink) and packed just-right. The flavour was good, and so was the texture (no chewy, un-swallowable bits that I hate), On the fatty side. Of course we had shepherd’s pie! Although it tasted more like mutton than lamb. The flavour was very strong and aromatic, the dish incredibly rich and heavy. I wouldn’t order this again, it was way too much for us.Chocolate tart, salted caramel ice cream (HK$98)

You can almost see your figure flying out the window. I was looking forward to this dessert the most, but I couldn’t enjoy it anymore as my stomach was bursting I actually felt almost sick. I took it home and ate it the next day and BOY WAS IT DELICIOUS! The Muscovado caramel is to die for. Loved the banana twist as well.Would I go back? YES! Great comfort food (unlike COMFORT by Harlan Goldstein). 2个月前已订枱, 终於来临了, 好期待! 地方算大, 一排长吧台, 又有普通位, sofa位, 优和的灯光, 完全外国鬼佬感觉.  被带到窗口位置, 枱虽小, 但算自成一角, 聊天比较方便.  夜了人多太嘈杂!
首先来一客沙律, 材料极之丰富, 有我至爱的羽衣甘蓝, 它的咬口爽脆,  营养偭值又高; 红叶萝白仔, 切成一片一片好薄, 通透.  茴香蔬菜, 原个形状似洋葱, 切薄片, 都系好爽脆; 还有南瓜子, 配意大利醋汁, 香甜.  每一口都层次丰富, 味.:yummy:
头盘是Yellow Fin Tuna, 配Aji Amarillo 汁, 是整个菜的灵魂, 酱汁有其独特风味, 有果香,  另Tuna味提升.
小食是鸡翼, 用tamarind香草腌制, 似一般的Buffalo Wings没太大分别, 味道不过不失.略兼细只.
主菜是猪腩肉, 皮好香脆, 肉质松软多汁, 肉味够, 但怕怕那薄薄的肥膏.  配以苹果碎的酱汁, 酸酸味味, 可中和猪腩肉的油腻, 值得推介::
是菠萝片配椰子雪糕, 新鲜菠萝片切得好薄, 香甜多汁.  加入热情果汁, 又酸又甜, 超正!  椰子雪芭好香coconut味, 正:like:

昨日就6时左右就到场攞位, 最後都系只得一张大既communication 枱...即系撘枱..不过无问题我地真系好想食..2个人叫左个Seabass carpaccio, 一份Pork belly, 一份side dish Honey carrot一起食.此店我自己都几喜欢入D服务员个个都笑笑面, 初时以为serve我地张枱既外籍人士好似黑黑地面咁, 点知原来都系好nice.另外一点自己喜欢就系一般D西人一定问你饮咩...你答水呀...佢就会问你有汽定矿泉水...但此店又OK你答水佢咪俾水你又唔会好似强迫你开支水咁...讲番下食物先...先来就系一蓝有2款..不过我地2个都觉得芝麻面包最好味暖暖地配埋D牛油真系好正..等一阵一次过前菜,主菜同配菜一次过上来...初时睇到D份量我地都觉得好似唔系好够...点知食到最尾就觉得有点漏. 可能个猪腩肉真系好大块同几油腻.个海炉鱼真系唔错配埋D水清清甜甜,再来既猪腩肉外皮系劲脆, 其实食落真系有点似中式烧肉不过相比烧肉既肉质就更加软身同香...配埋苹果酱汁甜甜地中和D油腻.至於蜜糖甘笋充满香料味好香好好味.其实食完都已经好满足, 但2条贪食友又点会放过甜品..最後都叫左个Pineapple carpaccio来食...这一个甜品真系叫得好岩...酸酸地既菠萝岩岩中和番之前食猪腩肉既肥腻呀...个菠萝切到好薄再用百香果汁配埋..仲要中间既椰子雪糕非常好味..所以话食完晚饭仲要配埋一个完美既甜品先得既...今晚食得非常开心..下次早D订位坐得舒服D就更好.

Not long after Breadstreet Kitchen opened a branch in HK, I was chec out their Menu and recipes online. I still remember when I
a comment on Facebook about how it seemed just a little generic boring coming from Ramsay’s fame, especially compa to other Ramsay restaurants I ate at before. Well I got a call from both Dining Concept’s PR and subsequently one of the Bosses, lecturing me on a lesson on how hard it is to run 40
restaurants in Hong Kong and how my facebook comment reverberated all the way back to London, and someone wasn’t happy. I know some foodies think DC restaurants are just leveraging off famous chef’s names, but I don’t judge like that. I judge the food and it’s final outcome. In the Dining Concepts camp for example, I love Bellbrooks, and I liked Carnevino initially so much until a subsequent visit had inferior meat. I used to like Bistecca Steakhouse until they started also using cheaper beef and also took away their Josper Grill. BLT Steak and Burger have been misses for me. Tango is good for Argentinian steak. Al Molo is not bad per se, but all the foodies wished it was closer in performance to Marea in New York, but the boss said on the phone how can I compare them both, when the bill is three times the amount in NYC. Fair enough ! Let’s see how I come to like the HK Bread Street Kitchen and if it stacks up : ) .
Bread with Butter -Very good bread with a nice sourdough aroma. If you have been following me, I have been so happy that Hong Kong is getting some really good bread nowadays! I still remember the good bread I had at Le Winebeast Bistro this week too. ~ 9/10.
2012 Bridlewood Pinot Noir, from Monterey County, California - Forgot the price but the Sommelier recommended this, and it was a lovely choice. Quite heavy bodied for a Pinot Noir, and unlike many Californian wines this wasn’t too sweet. .
Short Ribs Burger with Spicy Sriracha Mayo and Monterey Jack Cheese - $168The bun could be toasted more. The Burger patty was by HK standards quite decent, although a little dry in the centre and could have even more beefiness! This was a decent burger indeed but not exceptional. ~ 7/10.
Traditional Shepherds' Pie – Braised Lamb, Potato Puree, Brioche Garlic Crumbs $208This was amazing and easily the best version I have tried in Hong Kong, it was full of minced lamb taste and the correct herbs input, the potato mash had a great potato taste and beats the Robuchon’s in Macau and Hong Kong in this matter. Topped with some crunchy flavourful Pan Granttato. Worth a trip on its own… ~ 12/10.
Banana Sticky Date Pudding with Muscovado Caramel and Clotted Cream – $88Another amazingly executed dish. I have hardly had great let alone good sticky date puddings in HK, it’s usually like the Pastry Chefs are skimping back on the Vegetable Shortenings or the Suet fat and they are dry as… Not here. This was properly done and moist inside, the caramel carried a hint of saltiness, the clotted cream so British. 之前同d朋友仔约极约唔实所以无得上网订位; 点知今日无计划之下同事叫埋我去, 终於有得试, yeah Lunchtime唔系好full~望下隔离左右都有叫呢个sea yellow fin tuna ($148 for 3 pieces, 但个waiter见我地4个人, 所以suggest我地order 4片, 呢个提议非常好!!), tuna上个类似芒加青瓜碎粒, 配埋个新鲜tuna, 非常好味特别!! 非常好嘅ter~同事想食菜, 所以叫咗个caesar salad $138, 呢个就非常普通又唔抵, 如果只系食caesar salad唔洗黎呢到食啦~跟住我叫咗好多人推介嘅dingley dell pork chop 10oz $228, 想全熟, 个waiter话全熟会太乾, 同佢d牛唔系中国入口, 所以叫我地唔洗担心会帮我地住到尽量熟得黎又唔乾; 个肉质感好滑, 又唔乾, grilled得好好味!!同事另外叫咗个fish & chips $208, 初初觉得fish & chips咁普通唔洗系度食, 点知都有惊喜, 个fillet外面个脆皮同平时出面唔同, 薄得黎仲脆, 但入面个鱼好软滑, 另外个chips都好好味!!可惜lunchtime赶唔切食甜品, 希望下次食到~

美国版 Masterchef 的所有 seasons 连 Junior Masterchef 我刚重看了一次。相对於Jamie Oliver 开店时的 high profile, Gordon Ramsay (居然) 的低调更令我其待。 不过我不是 book 不到, 就是约不到食伴, 结果等了2个月一直都未去朝圣。那天跟个傻婆闲聊间居然一叫成事, 即日预约也有位。 结果那天整日只顾研究 Menu, 做足功课 
气氛不错也不拘谨。见到厨师在忙, 却见不到 Hell's Kitchen 的疯狂 
Seabass carpaccio, avacado, horseradish:鱼肉味香清淡, 肉质结实有弹性, 加上柠檬汁更突显鱼的鲜味。本身意法味较重的一度菜加上 wasabi 增添了, 又一番滋味
Honey glazed beef short ribs with pomelos, scallions, sesame seeds:这是此餐我最爱的一度菜。酱汁香浓又不盖过肉味, 而外层煎得香脆, 把肉汁都封住了。不为意的咬下去, 汁都涌了出来。 肉粒入口即化, 配上柚子的酸酸甜甜和葱花芝麻的香, 直冲味蕾
Chicken Caesar salad, pancetta, anchos, soft boiled egg, aged Parmesan:想不到 Caesar salad 也可以提升层次至此。菜新鲜已经是基本的要求酱汁酸而不腻而略带甜bacon 香脆加添咸的一脆片增加口感soft boiled egg 将所有层次融衡
Slow roasted Dingley Dell pork belly, spiced
puree, apple relish:个傻婆先试而不断叫咸, 也complain 脆皮硬。我试後也认同烧皮比我喜爱的硬, 但不致令我讨厌。味道虽咸, 但只要与 apple puree 及酱汁一起吃, 苹果的甜甜酸酸把咸味中和, 而增加了层次。
Pineapple carpaccio, passion fruit, coconut sorbet:初入口时一时分不出不同的食材, 分别清楚感受过後却是 short rib 以後的一大惊喜:将 pineapple 切片以後质感会非常特别: 感觉有点像河粉, 轻易地滑进喉咙里。passion fruit 虽然是汁, 却是全碟的灵魂。pineapple 的甜会带点腻, passion fruit 却甜得带点清香。加上椰子雪糕的另一种香, 三种各自独特的香甜异常合拍而且相得益彰。
Eton mess, mixed berries, Chantilly, meringue:女孩子视 cream 为死敌。 平常看到如此多 cream, 我必会避而远之。食到此时, 我已感受到 Ramsay 碟上每一样食材都有自己的角色, 没哪样是多余的, 所以我破例大口大口的把 cream 放入口。果然 cream 的位置是不能缺少的, 各种 berries 提供不同层次的酸味, 依靠 cream 的甜味作平衡。 Meringue 不只顶头那一粒, 而是多粒藏於 whipped cream 内, 增加口感。起初以为虽然叫了3度 starters, 但只叫一度 main course 会不够食的, 怎知一度烧腩仔就已经腻了。能用此价钱於LKF饱餐地狱厨神高质数的一餐, 实在物超所值, 不过我们对 services 稍为失望。虽然有 reservations, 我们於 reception 一直等处理之前的 walk-in。 终於有机会表明正身, 结果还是在等, 因为 receptionist 根本没有在处理。第2次向相信是 manager 的小姐再表明正身才被安排入座。我们被安排到一个转角的位置, 而年轻的 Waiter 每一次行过都要踢一踢我的凳脚。 我想虽然人多也很嘈吵, 但不算挤。我也不致於肥到阻路吧?!  当连被踢十多次後, 人是会火的。推介菜式: Seabass carpaccio avacado horseradish,Honey glazed beef short ribs with pomelos scallions sesame seeds,Chicken Caesar salad pancetta anchovies soft boiled egg aged Parmesan,Pineapple carpaccio passion fruit coconutsorbet用餐日期:

12月第一个星期, 天气变冷了, 窗外阴天了,音乐低声了,我的心开始想你了...心情持续下降时, 真的想吃一顿晚餐, 突然想起了地狱厨神Gordon Ramsay的Bread Street, 以前常常看的电视节目Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon如何拯救一些生意奇差, 自己的一定有水准, 听闻boo要排几个月, ,幸好的客人Booking里找到有8:30pm的座位, 从IFC走到LKF那里刚刚下起雨来, 狼狈不矣的我, 又冷又湿的天气令心情更加地狱!
到达Bread Street, 黄澄澄的招牌有点抢眼, 热热闹闹的气氛, 
使我回过神来, 内在环境很宽敞, 楼底很高, 台与台之间虽然不是很阔, 但感觉cozy, 
天花灯很像一朵朵花, 整体气氛不俗, 加上餐厅中间的开放式厨房有一个烤面包的火炉和一些圣诞的装饰, 黑色皮沙发的座位 很有英伦的气氛格调! 先有一个面包篮, 是一片片酸种面包, 有很大的气孔, 略带天然酵母的酸味, 味蕾开始打开了!
我ordered 了一客猪脸肉的Flat bread ($118), 面包底烤得好好, 好薄好脆, 猪脸肉好像一些风乾火腿, 有肉味, 不太肥腻, 软软的, 里面有焦糖化了洋葱, 加上九层塔的香气, 我们一片接一片消灭了整个像8寸的Pizza, 悲愤可以化为食量, 再转化为正能量
再下一城, 是我最的Pork Belly($198), 我应该开设一个寻找最好吃的Pork Belly, 从前在NapaValley吃过的皮脆得爆花肉嫩得化开的猪腩肉, 一直念念不忘, 在港澳各地再也寻找不到理想的猪腩, 不是太硬太咸太韧, 就是没有灵魂的急冻肉, 一直很想尝试这店的Slow roasted Dingley Dell pork belly with apple sauce, 卖相很她, 配有一些苹果蓉酱汁, 另有一个sauce, 似酱油, 不用加, 会很咸,  首先, 猪腩肉是带有丰富的肉味, 有质感, 但不够油脂, 未能做出溶化的感觉, 皮脆效果真的很好, 爆花的程度澎湃, 赞好! Pork Belly 是很难成功的一道菜, 我也看过Gordon Ramsay的youtube学习制作Pork Belly, 也滑铁卢了!
另一个主菜是烤春鸡($218), 有着意想不到的效果, 鸡肉很鲜嫩, 上面铺满葱花,  很中式的口味, 肉汁溢出好惹味

have been watching a lot of Gordon Ramsay's show, for sure it's a natural thing to visit Breadstreet then finally got a nce to
his food an appointment online at 10, arrived early and we were arranged seats at the bar waiting our table to be readybut we had waited around 10 minutes more after 10, I was concerned seeing the staffs hardly have communication, ( and hard to have too, t were so busy rushing around and they dont have walkies )so I asked about the seat twice and finally we got a seat facing the bar and open kitchen the music was loud and filled with laughters and chatting, it is an energetic and lively environment, perfect for gathering but not for couples dating in facta ly waitress brought us a bread basket along with the menuwhile waiting I noticed a bit of smudge on the wine glass, that is something that needs to be attent to, lucky I don't drinkthe bread was still very warmand delicious! the taste of the wheat(?) is really rich, the outside is crunchy and the inside is soft, yumwe ordered seared scallops for appetitizer, pork belly, rib burger and a glass of tomato juice the juice is rich with tomatoes, the sweetness and sourness is very balanced
scallops is soft and fresh, but I am not very fond of the puree, to me it s a bit blend
the two mains arrived together which is really really a pleasing arrangement skin of the belly is crunchy, perhaps too much that it is a bit tough, but tasty the meat is soft, there is a brown sauce alongside, giving it the right saltiness and the apple sauce gives it a touch of delightful sourness, brighten the dish, my appetite and lessen the fattening feeling of the dish
the burger is yumbeef is tender, cheese is rich, the pickles gives yummy sourit's portion is definitely enough to fill 2 peoplefor the fat fries, first they are really &fat&, haha , really thick and real potato-y, the salt sprinkled on it is excellent! perfect amount and really tasty, just the salt you can tell they are no ordinary boring saltI would love to try its dessert..such a pity we were too fullthe meal was delightful, but I am not a night-club person so I think I prefer visiting in the afternoon if there is next timebut it s worth visiting of course评分: 味道 4
